Landon Garry had two extra base hits, but Shockwave 9U still fell to FBI Fungo Teal 5-4 in six innings on Sunday at Southwest Forsyth Field five.

FBI Fungo Teal was sparked by one and two, who teamed up for six hits and two RBIs.

In the bottom of the first, FBI Fungo Teal grabbed the early lead, 3-0. One kicked things off for FBI Fungo Teal with a single. A single by two then moved one from first to third. Three singled, scoring one. FBI Fungo Teal then tacked on more runs when three scored on a steal of home.

It didn't take long for FBI Fungo Teal to respond as it scored one run of its own in the fifth. FBI Fungo Teal scored on an RBI single by three.

Shockwave 9U makes the most of 9 hits in 8-7 victory over Walkertown Warriors

Both Shockwave 9U and Walkertown Warriors put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was Shockwave 9U that was able to take advantage, pulling out an 8-7 win at Clemmons, Southwest Forsyth Field five.

Shockwave 9U staved off Walkertown Warriors as Walkertown Warriors was unable to match Shockwave 9U down the stretch.

Unfortunately, Walkertown Warriors wasn't able to take the lead back.

Harrison Parke racked up two RBIs on two hits for Shockwave 9U. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

In the top of the first, Walkertown Warriors grabbed the early lead, 5-0. Walkertown Warriors added more runs when four and five scored on a two-run single by seven, six scored on a walk by eight, and seven scored on a walk by eight.

Shockwave 9U matched its two-run second inning with two more in the fourth. In the second, Shockwave 9U scored on an RBI double by Tyler Reeves, bringing home Landon Garry.

It didn't take long for Shockwave 9U to respond as it scored three runs of its own in the third. Shockwave 9U scored on an RBI single by Nathan Ellison and an RBI single by Landon.

Landon G's effort not enough in Shockwave 9U's 9-6 loss

Landon Garry both hit and pitched well for Shockwave 9U, but it wasn't enough as Shockwave 9U fell to WS Monarchs 9-6 at Southwest Forsyth, Field five on Saturday.

Landon racked up four RBIs on one hit for Shockwave 9U. He homered in the first inning.

Landon pitched lights out for Shockwave 9U. Landon held WS Monarchs hitless over two innings, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three.

Shockwave 9U jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Shockwave 9U attack began with a single from Andrew McNair. Nathan Ellison singled, scoring Andrew. Shockwave 9U then tacked on more runs when H and E scored on a three-run home run by Landon.

Shockwave 9U quickly matched WS Monarchs' strong inning with a one-run inning of its own in the second. Shockwave 9U scored on a walk by Trevor Friend.

The game's last lead went to WS Monarchs thanks to a fourth inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on a groundout by two and two singles.

Twenty-one runs in the first three innings helped Shockwave 9U blow out HYAA Hawks. A steal of home by Andrew McNair, a steal of home by Fisher Hammel, a steal of home by Nathan Ellison, a steal of home by Braden Beyer, and a steal of home by Daniel Aldridge in the first inning and a two-run double by Fisher, a groundout by Nathan, a walk by Kenny Greer, and an RBI single by Tyler Reeves during the second inning supplied the early offense for Shockwave 9U.

Shockwave 9U was led by a flawless day at the dish by Andrew, who went 5-5 against HYAA Hawks' pitching. He singled in the first, second, third, and fourth innings.

Nathan got the win in relief for Shockwave 9U. Nathan pitched two innings and allowed three runs.

Shockwave 9U easily handled HYAA Hawks pitching as eight hitters combined for 19 hits, 13 RBIs and 26 runs scored.

Daniel Aldridge went 2-3 at the plate, but Shockwave 9U fell 17-7 to 9U Orange Co Crushers at Diamonds @ Oxford #3 on Saturday.

Two of Shockwave 9U's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Daniel. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

9U Orange Co Crushers easily handled Shockwave 9U pitching as seven hitters combined for 13 hits, seven RBIs and 16 runs scored.

9U Orange Co Crushers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring five runs on a two-run double by Player 3 and two singles.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the second, Shockwave 9U faced just a 5-1 deficit. A groundout by Daniel gave Shockwave 9U life. Tyler Reeves struck out to end the Shockwave 9U threat.

Two runs in the bottom of the third helped Shockwave 9U close its deficit to 6-3. A steal of home by Harrison Parke and an RBI single by Nathan Ellison triggered Shockwave 9U's comeback. Braden Beyer to end the Shockwave 9U threat.

9U Orange Co Crushers increased its lead with five runs in the fourth. A steal of home scored Player 8 for the inning's first run. That was followed up with a steal of home by Player 9.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fourth, Shockwave 9U faced just a 11-4 deficit. A groundout by Kenny Greer set off Shockwave 9U rally. Harrison struck out to end the Shockwave 9U threat.

Three runs in the bottom of the fifth helped Shockwave 9U close its deficit to 17-7. A two-run double by Fisher Hammel and an RBI double by Daniel gave Shockwave 9U life. Shockwave 9U's Tyler struck out to end the ballgame.

Tough loss to the Black Sox. Big Nate pitched a great game and we were up 5-2 going into the 6th inning. Three outs from going to our second Championship game and our wheels fell off. Up to that point, it was our best game of the season with lots of big plays!!! Kenny G stepped up in left field!

This was our first Championship game and we were tied in the 6th inning but couldn't hold on for the win. Lots of great memories though! Some quick game notes:
  • Trevor pitched for the first time and did great!
  • Hayden's first game playing second base and he had some huge plays
  • Fisher hitting a bomb to deep center!
  • Andrew and Kenny G laying down perfect bunts
  • Big Nate coming thru yet again on the mound

Shockwave 9U beat HYAA Hawks 10-6 in five innings on Saturday at The Diamonds at Oxford behind Landon Garry, who went 2-3.

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Shockwave 9U jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. After Andrew McNair singled, Landon doubled, scoring Nathan Ellison and Daniel Aldridge.

Shockwave 9U brought home two runs in the second inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the second, Shockwave 9U scored on a single by Trevor Friend.

HYAA Hawks survived Shockwave 9U's surge and put up three runs of its own in the second. HYAA Hawks scored on a steal of home by Hector Martinez and a two-run single by Dominic Okeefe.

HYAA Hawks quickly matched Shockwave 9U's strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the third. HYAA Hawks scored on a walk by Davis Phillips and a walk by Hank Nunnery.

The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as Shockwave 9U scored three runs on a single by Kenny Greer.

Shockwave 9U tacked on another two runs in the fifth. A clutch bases loaded walk scored Landon to open the scoring in the frame.

Shockwave 9U and 9U Orange Co Crushers traded the lead seven times on Saturday, but Shockwave 9U ended up on top with a 9-6 win in five innings over 9U Orange Co Crushers.

Fisher Hammel racked up two RBIs on two hits for Shockwave 9U. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.

Shockwave 9U jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

Shockwave 9U quickly matched 9U Orange Co Crushers' strong inning with a one-run inning of its own in the second. Shockwave 9U scored on an RBI single by Trevor Friend.

Shockwave 9U didn't relinquish the lead after scoring five runs in the third inning when it scored on a two-run single by Fisher.

Shockwave 9U tacked on another two runs in the fourth. A passed ball scored Jackson Marut to get Shockwave 9U on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Harrison Parke's single, bringing home Nathan Ellison.

Three runs in the top of the fifth helped 9U Orange Co Crushers close its deficit to 9-6. A passed ball, a passed ball, and an RBI single by Jason K set off 9U Orange Co Crushers rally.

The bats were busy at Butner on Sunday, and when the dust cleared Shockwave 9U had a 10-9 win over the 9U Carolina Rockies in five innings.

The teams banged out 17 hits hits between them, as well as six for extra bases.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with seven lead changes.

Landon Garry led Shockwave 9U's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the first inning.

Nathan Ellison got the win in relief for Shockwave 9U. Nathan pitched two-thirds of an inning and allowed one run.

In the top of the first, the 9U Carolina Rockies grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Player 1 started the rally for the 9U Carolina Rockies with a double. A stolen base then moved Player one from second to third. A few plays later, Player one stole home. The 9U Carolina Rockies pushed more runs across when two scored on an RBI double by Player 3.

Shockwave 9U scored five runs of its own in the first. Shockwave 9U scored on an RBI single by Daniel Aldridge, an RBI single by Nathan, an RBI single by Jackson Marut, and an RBI double by Tyler Reeves.

The 9U Carolina Rockies tied the game in the second on a steal of home.

Shockwave 9U collected four hits, but Shockwave 9U fell 12-5 to 9U Carolina Crushers at Butner Park on Sunday.

Shockwave 9U was led by Fisher Hammel's hitting. Fisher went 1-1 and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning.

Player 1, Player 2, Player 5 and Player 6 helped lead 9U Carolina Crushers. They combined for 10 hits and six RBIs.

The bottom of the first saw 9U Carolina Crushers take an early lead, 4-0. Player one singled to ignite 9U Carolina Crushers' offense. A single by Player two then moved Player one from first to second. Player one then stole home. 9U Carolina Crushers added more runs when two and three scored on a two-run single by Player five and five scored on a steal of home.

Shockwave 9U tied the game in the second on a steal of home.

9U Carolina Crushers increased its lead with three runs in the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Player two singled, bringing home Player 10 to kick things off. That was followed up by Player 4's single, plating Player two.

Eleven hits weren't enough for Shockwave 9U as it lost a shootout, 16-13 in four innings, to 9U Orange Co Crushers on Saturday at Oxford.

Andrew McNair was solid at the plate for Shockwave 9U. Andrew went 2-3 and scored three runs. He singled in the first and second innings.

9U Orange Co Crushers easily handled Shockwave 9U pitching as nine hitters combined for 12 hits, seven RBIs and 15 runs scored.

Shockwave 9U jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the top of the first. The Shockwave 9U attack began with a single from Andrew. A stolen base then moved Andrew from first to second. Andrew then stole home. Shockwave 9U pushed more runs across when G and A scored on a two-run double by Nathan Ellison, E scored on a steal of home, and M scored on a groundout by Tyler Reeves.

9U Orange Co Crushers went up for good in the first, scoring 13 runs on six singles.

After pushing across one run in the top of the second, Shockwave 9U faced just a 13-6 deficit. A steal of home by Andrew set off Shockwave 9U rally. Jackson Marut struck out to end the Shockwave 9U threat. 9U Orange Co Crushers answered Shockwave 9U's top inning with two runs of its own in the second. 9U Orange Co Crushers scored on a steal of home by Player 7 and a steal of home by Player 8.

Seven runs in the top of the third helped Shockwave 9U close its deficit to 15-13. A steal of home by Trevor Friend, an RBI double by Harrison Parke, a steal of home by Harrison, a steal of home by Kenny Greer, a two-run triple by Nathan, and an RBI single by Jackson gave Shockwave 9U life. Trevor to end the Shockwave 9U threat.

9U Orange Co Crushers tacked on one more run in the bottom of the third when Player 2 stole home.
